People’s Choice Awards 2019: Alia Bhatt nominated for Most Inspiring Asian Woman

In this year’s People’s Choice Awards Alia Bhatt has been nominated for Most Inspiring Asian Woman. Even Priyanka Chopra is being nominated for being the Best Dressed.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has always received appreciation for her powerful performances and seems like there is no stopping for her. The nomination list of The E! People’s Choice Awards 2019 is out and Alia Bhatt has been nominated for The Most Inspiring Asian Woman of 2019, amongst 7 other nominees. The 26-year-old actress is the only Indian to have been nominated in the category.

Alia shares her nomination with Thai model Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying, South Korean singer CL, South Korean actress Jung Yu-mi and Praya Lundberg, Raline Shah, Yuna and Zhou Dongyu. The voting for the category is open online and will run on till October 18. The winner will be announced on November 10 when the award show takes place.

After making her big debut with Karan Johar’s directorial Student of The Year, Alia has given several hits. Highway, Raazi, 2 States, Gully Boy, Dear Zindagi and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, have been her hit projects over the years. On work front Alia’s kitty is full with some big projects. In 2020, Alia will be seen in 3 big films – Sadak 2 directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

Interestingly our Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra is also nominated in People’s Choice Award this year for being the Best Dressed. Not just that, PeeCee has made us proud already and won two awards at the Award function. Priyanka Chopra won the Favorite Actress in a New TV Series in 2016 and in the following year the 37-year-old actress won the Favorite Dramatic TV Actress award for playing the role of FBI agent Alex Parrish in the American drama series Quantico. She is the only Indian to have won a People’s Choice Award.
